LO5 - Final budgeting and equipment

PRS Licence: £50,This is so that if my track get air time on radio or gets played in a club i get a cut from this. This is vital due to my target being specialist radio and clubs.

Macbook pro : £1200, This is to provide a secure base in which everything will connect and record on. However i already own this equipment so it shall not be brought out of the budget.

Ableton live DAW - £600 this is the main production software i will use to record and produce my track.

M-audio MIDI keyboard - £90, this provides a key hardware interface for writing melodies and playing keys into the DAW on the computer.

M-audio Audio interface - £90, this is to gain the ability to connect a microphone to the computer to allow a recoding to take place without loosing audio quality.

Condenser microphone - £200, this is to allow vocals to be recorded into the production.

M-audio Studio Monitors - £180, this is to allow a clear and real audio image to be heard by the producer when mixing and mastering the final track.

To save money on distribution as CDs and vinyl are expensive, I will distribute my track as a digital file to DJ and radio stations to play. I will also distribute on sites such as Spotify, ITunes and Beatport.
